Rosa Vreeling was born in 1979 in a family of dancers. She started dancing herself at an early age at the Conservatorium Saxion Hogeschool in her birthplace Enschede, in the east of The Netherlands. At this early stage she enjoyed participating in school performances for which she later made her first choreographies and improvised pieces.

At the age of 18, she moved to Amsterdam to join the International Dance Theater for a year of touring and performing. At this point Rosa realised that she had the need to develop and express her creativity and decided to continue her studies at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten where she joined the department Modern Theatre Dance and New Dance Development. During this period, Rosa developed a passion for improvisation and movement studies. After four years at the AHK, Rosa graduated in Modern Theatre Dance in 2002.

Shortly before graduating from the AHK Rosa also began teaching improvisation and dance exploration at the dance department of Het Kottenpark College in Enschede. At this point she also began working as a freelance dancer and choreographer, participating in various projects in the past years. In 2006 she also co-founded Sporadic Movement Productions, an independent production group dedicated to organizing open dance improvisation sessions in different locations in Amsterdam.

In addition to dancing, Rosa is a certified Rolfer® with her own practice in Amsterdam. Furthermore she is a certified Yoga Teacher and has been awarded the Birthlight diploma in Perinatal Yoga and is considered fully qualified to teach Pre and Postnatal Yoga classes.
